
15th Largest Marathon In The USA Listed in Runner’s World as the "Fastest Fall Marathon" and included as one of Runner’s World "10 Most Scenic Marathons and Top 20 In the USA." Awards run 10 deep in each division. 2 Wheelchair participants Mayors Walk held Saturday, October 1st. Over 200,000 cups are used at 15 Aid Stations along the route. Over 4,250 gallons of water and 1,960 gallons of Gatorade hydration drink are consumed. Mayors Walk was held Saturday, October 6, 2007, 7:00 a.m. The walk is approximately 2.2 miles in length and had over 1,600 participants last year. Ten-Year-Club - There are now over 800 members in our 10-year runners club. A Ten-Year Club member is a runner who has participated in at least 10 St. George Marathons. Twenty-Year-Runners - we will have 53 runners who have participated in the St. George Marathon at least 20 times. Based on past races, we expect approximately 80% of the registered runners to finish the race - all 26 miles and 385 yards!
